Corrosion of a low alloy steel in a simulated liquid-metal-fuel reactor mixture [electronic resource]
An isothermal, dynamic testing technique was used to investigate the effectiveness of zirconium as an inhibitor to the corrosion of 2 1/4% Cr-1% Mo alloy steel by liquid lead-bismuth eutectic compounded to simulate the liquid metal medium which would be found in a liquid metal fuel reactor.
