Georgia. By His Excellency George Mathews, governor and commander in chief in and over the said state: a proclamation [microform] : Whereas I have received official information, that Elijah Clarke, Esq. late a major-general of the militia of this state, has gone over the Oconee River, with intent to establish a separate and independent government on the lands allotted to the Indians for their hunting ground.
