Significant changes were noted in seven of the 15 variables, suggesting a similarity of the counselor training process to the counseling situation. It was shown that learning to be a counselor was, in itself, a counseling experience for counselor trainees. The data supported the hypothesis that measurable changes in personality characteristics can be obtained in a brief counselor training period by the training process itself. (Author)
