Summary:This guide outlines what should be taught to provide training for high school students in agricultural sales and services, and to some degree how and with what resources. The general framework of this 1-year course outline is presented as a problemsolving approach wherein objectives spell out the expected outcomes. After an introductory section on use of the guide, 10 units of instruction--four supportive and six functional--are presented. The supportive units are Orientation to Agricultural Sales and Services, Basic Selling, Farm Supply Store Management, and Business Procedures. The functional units are Feed Sales and Services, Seed Sales and Services, Fertilizer Sales and Services, Pesticide Sales and Services, Petroleum Products Sales and Services, and Hardware Sales and Services. Each unit contains objectives, learning activities, topics, and resources. A bibliography, a list of recommended materials for equipment, and the names and addresses of professional or technical organizations are appended. (HD)
