The first section of the guide is an overview of home economics in general and the junior high and high school home economics program as delivered in Virginia. Information on student organizations, a course list, and a chart of program sequences are included. The following five sections describe the programs of secondary home economics: orientation and exploration; occupational home economics; senior intensified--specialized occupations; special programs; and consumer and homemaking. Each program description lists and describes the courses that are part of it, including course content, grade levels, and prerequisites. The final section of the guide provides information on how home economics courses fulfil high school graduation requirements. (KC)
