In order to facilitate the integration of environmental education into technology programs in particular, the paper addresses each of the following associated issues: (1) lack of agreement as to the relative importance and location in the curriculum of such content (i.e., where it should be taught); (2) lack of clearly established course/program outcome objectives related to environmental education (i.e., what should be taught); and (3) insufficient teacher experience in instructional design to facilitate integration of such content (i.e., how it should be taught).
