Several factors utilized by instructional technology students to select their graduate programs are outlined, including program requirements, program emphasis, course offerings, internships, sources for funding, opportunities for student productivity, and reputation of program. Resources available to the student who wishes to gather information about graduate programs in instructional technology are listed, including publications, professional organizations, the ERIC database, and interviews with people involved with the program.
