An overview explains that teen birth rates are down for the first time in more than 10 years, but the United States still has higher teen pregnancy rates than any other industrialized nation. The overview notes that prevention efforts make a significant difference. Stories from several teenage parents emphasize the complexities and difficulties of being teen parents. A listing of national resources that exist to help federal, state, and local policymakers better understand the issue of adolescent pregnancy is presented.
