Summary:Teacher and student editions of this document are one in a series of competency-based instructional materials for diesel technology programs. The series aligns with the medium/heavy diesel duty truck task list used by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence in the certification of medium/heavy duty truck technicians. Introductory pages in the teacher edition are training and competency profile, instructional/task analysis, basic skills icons and classifications, and basic skills matrix. Teacher pages may include unit contents, suggested activities, answers to assignments, written test with answers, learning activities sheets, teacher supplements, and transparency masters. The three units are general safety, workplace safety, and first aid. The student edition contains some or all of these components for each unit: unit contents, objective sheet, information sheet, student supplements, assignment sheets, and job sheets. (YLB)
