Summary:The Robert F. Rockwell papers is a valuable collection for research into Colorado politics of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. the Colorado Republican Party, the rise of the Ku Klux Klan in Colorado in the 1920s, and the cattle and fruit industries of the Western Slope. Additionally, the collection contains numerous speeches and notes from Rockwell's service in the US House of Representatives. This portion of the collection is especially valuable for research into US federal land policy of the 1940s, although many other topics, such as World War II, labor and industrial relations, and water policy are covered in some depth as well.
