Item Description: | "February 1996" The original work, "Riben diguozhuyi zai Nanjing de datusha", was compiled in 1962 by scholars at Nanjing University's Dept. of History (Japanese history section) and was based on extensive materials uncovered during their two-year investigation of the Nanjing Massacre. After it was written, it was labelled a classified document. In 1995, a Chinese scholar brought this document to America and abstracted portions of the text making them available to China News Digest for placement in the CND Nanjing Massacre Archive. In 1995/96 Robert Gray translated these excerpts and created a website for them. The current document consists of sprial-bound printouts from this website. |
