Communication from John Tyler, president of a convention, assembled in the City of Washington, to adjust the differences which now disturb the peace of the Union, inclosing the report of that convention, accompanied by a proposed amendment to the Constitution of the United States, and asking its submission to conventions in the states. February 27, 1861. -- Read and referred to a select committee of five, viz [electronic resource] : Mr. Crittenden, Mr. Bigler, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Seward and Mr. Trumbull, with instructions to report to-morrow, at 12 o'clock; and that the report be made the special order of the day for 1 o'clock.
