ZPPR Assembly 13B/3 - Detailed Work Plan No. 21 [electronic resource] : TLD irradiations.

Gamma heating will be measured in ZPPR-13B/3 with LiF thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs) along the x and y axes and along 30° and 60° rays. Many of the TLDs will be irradiated in the same matrix positions as the foils to facilitate comparison of experimental results. Three TLDs will be encapsulated...

Description
Summary:Gamma heating will be measured in ZPPR-13B/3 with LiF thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs) along the x and y axes and along 30° and 60° rays. Many of the TLDs will be irradiated in the same matrix positions as the foils to facilitate comparison of experimental results. Three TLDs will be encapsulated in 0.5-in.-diameter stainless steel sleeves for each matrix position. A comparison will be made between used and fresh TLDs by loading a TLD at the Center and two TLDs at the edge of the sleeve. One edge position will contain a previously irradiated TLD. The central TLD will be used for comparison with the two TLDs located at the edge. The encapsulated TLDs will be loaded into the drawers using tunnel element sodium cans.
