Summary:An investigation has been made of the radioactive fall-out in snow following the Las Vegas, Nevada, testing explosion. Snow samples were collected during Feb. 1951 in New York State, New Jersey, Pennsylania, Delaware, and Ohio and analyzed. Radioactivity of the snow ranged from less than 10 to 25,000 beta disintegrations/min/liter. The decay rate was equivalent to a half life of 74 to 85 hours. (C.H.)
