Christopher Towneley
Christopher Towneley (9 January 1604 – August 1674) was an English antiquarian from an old Roman Catholic, Lancashire family. Often called ‘the Transcriber’, he spent much of his life researching local history and copying ancient documents. Provided by Wikipedia
