Much like Joseph Beuys, Joo uses various media such as sculpture, photography, printmaking, and painting, further referencing cultural heritage, identity, and natural history. He currently lives and works in New York, New York, as a Senior Critic in Sculpture at Yale University. He also teaches at Columbia University in the MFA program.
